Meet our organisers and Teacher: Tanu Bodhi and Tarlina Pethiyagoda

Tanu Bodhi is originally from India but based in Australia since 2008. He is an International Yoga teacher and a handstand coach. He has been travelling for the last 4 years around Asia! He has been conducting yoga workshops, organising programs for mental health; working with yoga teachers as well around the world.

Tanu Bodhi has done twice Annapurna Base Camp and did his first Mt Everest Base Camp in 2019. Not only that he was also lost in Kambo glacier for 24 hours where he spent a night in snowy mountains without food, camping gear, and without water! Luckily he survived; afterwards, his life kind of changed completely to have more trust and a deeper connection with Mother Nature and the mountains.

Tarlina is a Yoga Teacher with over 10 years of collective experience across Yoga, Dance, Pilates and Reformer movement modalities. Tarlina discovered Yoga as a way to deepen her practice and connect with her body on a deeper level. She was also introduced to meditation and mindfulness at the age of 5 through Theravada Buddhism and sees the practice on the mat beyond the dimensions of purely physical practice.

Tarlina's Sri Lankan roots encouraged two years of travel travel/study and teaching in South East Asia especially in Nepal, India and Sri Lanka. Her travels to basecamp left her intending to share the enriching and culturally inspired expression of the Yogic Practise within the Nepalese culture to other seekers in finding connection with the lands of the sacred practise in the spiritually blessed Himalayas.

Travel Insurance
Your travel insurance covers helicopter evacuation over 5000m, trip cancellation, and treatment costs caused by Covid-19 or any other unforeseen illness/disease

Personal Travel Insurance
Personal travel insurance is not offered by most tour operators but is not a large cost in the greater scheme of things. We advise taking out travel insurance that will cover basic events such as cancelled flights and lost baggage in addition to trekking insurance that will cover medical expenses and emergency evacuations. You will need to find an insurance provider who will cover you for trekking up to 6,000m. A 30-day insurance policy is likely to cost around $150 to $200

Clothing
It is important to purchase good quality and reliable clothes and footwear as you will be facing very cold conditions on the trek

Equipment
The cost of equipment needed for the trek is highly variable and largely depends on how much of it you already own and if you are wanting to hire or buy the rest. The basics that you will need to bring include a cold-weather sleeping bag, thermal clothing, hiking boots, trekking poles, a backpack and duffle bag, a warm waterproof jacket, gloves, sunglasses, a peak cap and a beanie.

Cancellation
The cancellations are made 30 days before the date of travel then 25.0% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees. If cancellations are made 15 days to 30 days before the date of travel then 50.0% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees

If cancellations are made 0 days to 15 days before the date of travel then 100.0% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees

When women gather together, something magical occurs. We heal a little more, and from this, so does the World.

The mission of the Sister Retreat Series is an initiative to inspire authentic, self-accountability, for our sisters to see their true worth, beauty, power, to find soulful friendships and our collaborative potential. Sisters, women, mothers, girls, when we discover the immense power of coming together, and supporting one another, we are unstoppable in our divine feminine.

In many other cultures, women live as a Community of Sisters, and Harvard studies reaffirm that women who have a close Female Tribe stay healthier, are happier as they age, and are four times more likely to survive disease.

The February Sister Retreat Series are an in-person authentic connection experience that plants the seed of intention around themes which are most relevant for us. This Retreat series comes from a desire to build deep bonds of sacred sisterhood and elevate the ways we relate to this support, feel heard, are able to listen, and recognize our collective potential.

With such amazing Women being drawn to our Retreats, we know you’ll discover the most precious gift, of lifelong sisters.

Set in the stunning Mornington Peninsular, co-hosted by Wendy Lim (
PT for the Mind) & Tarlina Jayasinghe (Native Movement).
